Hail Xenu

Celebrity Scientologists

One of the first things you hear about when you start reading up on Scientology is how many celebrities have either used Dianetics in their life or is a current member of the Church of Scientology. But I will be honest, once you get past the initial "top 5" of celeb names who are scientologists you realize the names are not that great or noteworthy, really. Let's run down a few of the names and you will understand what I mean.

1. John Travolta
A very successful actor, he can fly a plane and is known to millions of Americans as that charming young actor from Welcome Back Kotter.

2. Tom Cruise
Another big name and huge supporter and promoter of Scientology, its beliefs and adorer of L. Ron Hubbard himself.

3. Kirstie Alley
Alright here is where it starts to turn funny. No offense to Kirstie Alley, but here is where the "celebrity" status starts to fall and go downhill.

4. Isaac Hayes
Soul singer and voice of Chef from South Park. Left the show over the famous "Trapped In The Closet" episode.

5. Beck Hansen
Is this where his lyrics derive from? Weird thoughts and trigger words from auditing sessions? I think I finally understand why Beck has never appealed to me!

Lets be honest here, sure there are a few big names associated with Scientology, but once you dig a bit deeper you find they constantly use the same "batch" of names to use and recruit newbies into Scientology. Kirstie Alley? The F-List actress from the television show Cheers? A woman who cannot control her eating or alcoholism is now a "super human" who can do things us "mortals" cannot? Beck? These are not exactly proven to be the "smartest" people on the planet, now they want me to believe they are a Super Human compared to me and you? Gimme a break.
